Gabrielle-Ann Torre, B.S.
B.S. -- University of Arizona, 2014, Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences
Gabrielle-Ann graduated from the University of Arizona in 2014 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences. As an undergraduate, Gabrielle conducted research in the Brain Imaging, Behavior and Aging Lab under Dr. Gene Alexander. There, she facilitated neuroimaging studies investigating brain-behavior relationships in healthy aging and, individually, used voxel-based morphometry to examine the relationship between IQ and brain structure in the aging brain. This research extended into a pediatric population upon her joining the CSL in 2015. Under the mentorship of Dr. Guinevere Eden, Gabrielle studies the role of IQ, socioeconomic status (SES), and other potential neuromodulatory factors in development on the brain in the context of reading ability.
