Eileen Napoliello, B. S.
Research Assistant
Eileen graduated from George Washington University with a degree in Speech and Hearing
Science. She joined the Center for the
Study of Learning in 2003 as a research assistant and has attained experience
in all aspects of subject recruitment, subject screening, neuropsychological
and behavioral assessment of children, and data management. Prior to joining the Center for the Study of
Learning she worked as the program coordinator for Reach Out and Read, an early
pediatric literacy program, at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ. She also has had experience working with children with Pervasive
Developmental Delay and Autism, both in a naturalistic setting and in a
home-based discreet trials therapy program. Eileen plans to attain certification as a teacher of the deaf and hard
of hearing and continue her graduate studies in speech language pathology. Her academic focus is on how the brain
processes speech and language. Eileen’s
interests are in language acquisition, the development of literacy skills, TBI
and aphasia. She has a special interest
in working with families living in poverty.
