Melanie Lozano, B.A.

Melanie graduated from UMBC in 2015 with a degree in Psychology. She has experience in working with children and adolescents with behavioral, learning, and neurodevelopmental differences including ADHD and autism. In addition, Melanie has worked as a research assistant in the section of Nutritional Neurosciences at the National Institutes of Health during her undergraduate studies. Here she gained valuable experience in the development and design of research projects that include fMRI data acquisition as well as structured interviews with subjects. In October 2015 she joined the Center for the Study of Learning, where her role entails grant writing, IRB-related procedures, and coordinating an fMRI study of the neural basis of combined math and reading disability.
